LOC were engaged by Truvo to provide the required focus and delivery to their MySite programme
Truvo's desire to add value to Advertisers by providing a portfolio of complementary products created the requirement for the MySite product (an automated tool to build world-class websites for SME’s). They launched their state-of-the-art integrated MySite product in September 2009, using a ‘Big Bang’ implementation approach.
The delivery which had commenced in early 2009 had been project managed internally, supported by a number of distributed application and data providers and was viewed, post launch, by senior management as a failing programme. As the MySite was critical to achieving the stretch revenue target, it was fundamental to both recover the programme as well as define the future product roadmap.
LOC Consulting has a growing reputation for both recovering and delivering complex business and IT programmes having successfully achieved this for a number of clients, including CPA Global and Post Office Limited. Truvo viewed LOC as their preferred partner to provide the required focus and delivery to the MySite programme and they were engaged in December 2009.
LOC restructured the team, engaged the required capability, changed the supplier engagement-framework and within a three month period recovered the programme as well as defining the delivery-roadmap to maximise potential revenue, ensure Advertiser retention and deliver the required functionality.
To ensure the recovery was achieved without impacting the delivery schedule of a functional release every 6 weeks, LOC focused on a number of areas, including:
- Governance – a Steering Board was defined and empowered to ensure active business engagement at the board level to both agree the recovery approach and agree the delivery framework and schedule
- Specification – a specialist LOC Business Analyst was engaged to document the system specifications and define the Standard Operational Procedures
